Macao, and wips~

Went to Macao for a couple of days. Most people love the casinos there, I love all the old time Chinese bill boards... and noodles!
All are still wips, the second one i started today. Seems like i become a different artist when i tackle the traditional medium, which is a nice change.
going to Hong Kong next week~ More photos coming! ^___^

I am impressed by your work. Fantastic paintings. Do you use models or do you paint entirely from memory??

I admire you so much! I totally get that it's like you're a different artist when dealing with traditional media, I feel that too. Your oils look stunning, can't wait to see more.

Hey Shelley,

I wanted to ask you about your opinion of the Soltek easel. Is it really easy to set up and use? Have you used it outdoors? My friend and I are considering purchasing it but it is rather pricey. If you could give me some feedback that would help us a lot in our decision making!

Thanks!
Jen

Hey Jen~

I think the easel is a bit heavy if you don't have a car to take it outdoor sketching. carrying it for 25 mins is not a problem, but longer than that you might bang something as it's rather fragile. or getting the bag for it might be a better option.
It's really a great studio easel if you want mobility(if the studio is not permanent). it's very flexible every which way, and holds big canvases.
