Shelly, been sifting through your blog, and wish I came across it sooner. You have some amazing chops. Love all the prelim color work on here too. Nice to see the thought process. Wow - great portrait - a bit of a Klimt mood methinks -
I saw the Mad Kestrel cover on Amazon - awesome cover - really captures the mysterious mood of the story description well - reminds me a bit of NC Wyeth, who was so amazingly good at pirates...

Another cool self portrait :). I really dig how you told a story. Very fun. It doesn't really look like you though, but hey, you probably didn't care for that angle much.
always love klimt inspired stuff/or historically inspired, not sure which way you lean. for me klimt always has represented the best of both worlds, he is rich in design and realism and designed realism, which you seem to be as well. thanks, very nice painting, t
