200th post on the blog~! Yay. This is for R. Thanks for being my best friend even when i am so far away~
This is unusually "cheery" for me, probably because of the colors i saw, mainly in the Tibetan household, during my Yunnan trip. Traveling sure changes how i approach my pieces...

Wow
the colour and the composition is just amazing!
You did indeed save the day again. It's a beaut!
Beautiful! Again, I am curious, are these figures pulled from your imagination or do use reference or hire models? You paint so quickly as well. I am amazed!
great work. i love how you worked the red, it looks like dyed fabric.
Hi Dave,
I pulled my figure refs from my digital library mainly: photography, sculpture, anything really. most of the stuff i ref to are older than 1920s. i don't have a budget or studio presently to shoot workable photography for now, and i usually find heavily referenced work too restraining... i hope this is of some help...?
Mucha rules!
Lovely
Shelly this is beautiful!
Manu

beautiful as always Shelly! Where are you working out of these days? Are you still at Rockstar? Keep inspiring! :)
