http://societyillustrators.org/museum/storey.cmshttp://barronstorey.blogspot.com/Like all artists i love, Barron Storey is not as well known as he should be. His work, deeply personal and intense, draws on inspirations few of us dare to tap into. Go see it if you can, i am sure you would come away with a feeling that you have slip by something divine. :)

Wonderful... I don't know his work at all.
Shelley, if you plan to be in London next week and have the time, how about lunch?

I didn't make it to the opening but I'm heading to NYC soon and I intend to make the Storey show a point in my trip. I hear his sketchbooks are beautiful.
I took Barron's concept illustration class back in SJSU. He's one amazing artist! His works are unforgettable.
BTW, I'm Jonathan, an artist in Imagi CNA. nice to meet ya :)
I was able to meet him at one of the comic convention in SF. Nobody knows who he was, once in awhile his students would come by to say hi...He just sat there with no fanfare and a dozen of his infamous sketchbooks out on display.
I had a chance to look at most of them and chat with him a bit. It would have taken weeks to take it all in.
A true artist in every senses.
Thanks for the heads up on this show! It turned out to be a major art event for me in every sense. I went through all 149 of the journals exhibited there -it took 3 visits. I will recommend to every other artist I know who can get to the show before July 31.
He's a faboulous illustrator and person. I'm glad I got the chance to meet him and learn from him.
Hands down my favorite living artist... possibly ever. I was lucky to take his class at SJSU. Only man I know that can draw and paint while driving and have it look dope. He is the complete artist... integrity, craft, sheer dedication... he's untouchable.
