Finally! LMS 3rd round announced! hope u like this piece....

Honey,

U left me in the garden last night and locked the door. around midnight it started raining, and gnomes came out and hide in my hair. we discuss soils and clouds and good weather. So this is how u found me this morning. u said, "how fun was it?"



Just Kidding. :) it's just a self portrait, more fantasy then from any photos. i wish it rains more in San Diego.

Nerd Fest

Me and a lot of friends are booking up a whold role at "The Bridge"'s IMAX theatre next Sunday to enjoy "Open Season". We heard it's an awesome experience! ^_____^ yeah... we are such nerds.
i am going to stop posting till about Nov 7, because of the LMS competition. i am just gonna work on my piece in secrecy this time around, so it will be more fun when it's revealed! i am sad i wouldn't be able to share the steps with u bloggers... oh well.

Calendar update

This piece dragged on for so long, and i didn't work on it at all... *____* but oct 6 is the deadline, so i need to remind myself to squeeze some changes in:
1. the old man's face and body need definition;
2. the girls' bodies and faces need changes;
3. clean up the trees and background shapes;
4. pull in photoshop to do edges at the end.

hopefully i fit all this in! ^_______^

Sorry i have been absent and with no work to show, but i have just been hanging out with mom last month. it was quite a good break, and i promise i will step up and do some work now! have some ideas, gonna try them out. ^_______^
the near finish version of the pic. i might clean it up a bit to send for the society of illustrators competition.

In case anyone's wondering, the deadline for the calendar is extended again to Sep 30! so i have all my time dedicated to the TD piece. ^____^

By the way: the thing that the man is holding is a cage. hence the escaped bird. hence the title "Escape". Very unclear right now. Hope that gets better with time. ;-)

Comic Con!

All right... havn't been working that much on personal stuff... but want to drop a line here about how wonderful this heaven called "San Diego Comic Con" is....... GOD!!! all my heros walking up and down the eisles, smiling at us mortals.... unreal!!!! some of the amazing artists i met for the first time:
