I wish I could see a live performance of it..Eric Kohhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03331907894792791685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24097280.post-81617524527808412162007-11-27T05:59:00.000-08:002007-11-27T05:59:00.000-08:00Hi Shelly!!!It's such a GREAT honor to write you! ...Hi Shelly!!!

It's such a GREAT honor to write you! Yeah, I know my comment is way too late on this one, but I thought I'd never find another human being addicted to Perfume OST!!! My name is Rafael Sarmento, and I'm a illustrator (and founder) of ImageNation Studio, here in the south of Brazil - and I'm a double bass player in the city's symphony orchestra, and I'm deeply moved with that soundtrack, it's REALLY great isn't??? All of those oriental textures and landscapes of inspiration...
Well, hope I hear(read!) from you sometime ok???
Best wishes,
Rafael

PS>>>I'm a REALLY HUGE FAAAANNNNN of you, can't believe I'm writing to ya!!!Rafael Sarmentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00719797558792389902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24097280.post-78188840994315557392007-11-26T12:59:00.000-08:002007-11-26T12:59:00.000-08:00It's great to see you diving into oils Shelly. If you have the DVD, it should be on there as a bonus feature. Absolutely amazing. WKW shoots without a script--at first he didn't know if there was going to be a heterosexual realtionship or not. There was an insane amount of extra footage, and i think it really captures some of the beautifully lonely aspects of living in a foreign place.

phil hale's stuff is awesome! i've seen it before in the Spectrum books. I like the pieces that don't have too much of a thin, brittle outline feel. The palette he uses is really Wyeth-like in some ways too.

SJS is an awesome painter. SomeoneI know did a copy of the St. George painting back at Associates when I was first there.Chris Searshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17178663138038593454noreply@blogger.com
